I just saw a video with 5 successful web 2.0 entrepeneurs talking about their experience and giving good advice about startups. It was very inspiring, gave lots to think about and had a lot of humor as well.
The video is a panel discussion between
- Lauren Elliott, Founder, Personal News Network
- Reid Hoffman, Co-Founder and CEO, LinkedIn
- Joe Kraus, Co-Founder and CEO, JotSpot
- Daniel Mattes, Co-Founder and CTO, Jajah
- Alex Welch, Co-Founder and CEO, Photobucket
And Guy Kawasaki is moderating the discussion.
One of the things they talked about is the importance of distribution (the only value is in the user base according to Reid Hoffman) and how you get that critical mass.
Another comment from Reid was that if you’re a Web company building a consumer product and you aren’t embarrassed by your first release, you launched too late
Highly recommendable.
