A friend of mine in New Zealand brought my attention to this unfortunate story with a travel agency called Flight Centre.
I hate bad customer service (which unfortunately is the norm here in Catalunya), but even worse is directly misleading the customer to get a sale.
I think one of the only really forceful media we have is the internet, so I will gladly post about this to give Flight Centre the bad publicity it deserves and hopefully press them more to correct their behaviour.
I hope the story will have a good ending…

Unfortunately, I had booked flights with this company. The service was ok but i think it was just to really milk money out of me. The thing that I found very annoying was that once I had made all the payments (paid for tickets and tours, etc) they changed their service. After making the final payment for my flight tickets, I had some queries I wanted answered — queries that would take no longer than two minutes. I called twice but the agent I had spoken with was busy both times. Both people I had spoken with assured me I would be contacted and I did not get a call. I had to call again myself (the following week). When I had finally spoken to the agent who entertained me, I was not addressed in a pleasant manner and sounded displeased that I had questions reagarding the tickets (even though they made it clear that I was welcome to ring with inquiries any time). It felt like good service ended along with my last payment for the tickets. It was the first time I had organized a trip and wanted to make sure everything was in order. I am not pleased with the way they disregarded my first two calls and then purposely neglecting to respond to my inquiries.
